Jake Alexander Boulevard work starting Sunday night

SALISBURY Beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin intermittent nightly lane closures on a section of Jake Alexander Boulevard between Lincolnton and Brenner roads.

Weather permitting, the lane closures will be in place each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday, June 13. One lane in each direction will be closed for maintenance work.

NCDOT urges motorists to use caution when traveling in the work zone.
