• Operation Medicine Cabinet: 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 12, Rufty-Holmes Senior Center. Drive thru the parking lot and drop off your expired and unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications for proper disposal.


• 64th Annual Debutante Ball of Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, Cornerstone Church Event Center, 315 Webb Road. The public is invited. Information: President Natalie Currie, 704-640-0159.

• Meeting cancelled: Monthly meeting of Salisbury Zoning Board of Adjustment scheduled for Monday, April 14, has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is Monday, May 12, 2014.

• Historic Preservation Commission regular session 5:15 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, Council Chamber at the City Hall, 217 S. Main St. Substantial changes could be made to the applications presented for review reflecting objections, debate, discussion.

• CANCELED: The Salisbury Public Art Committees’ Thursday, April 10 meeting at Gateway Building has been canceled due to unavailability of city staff. The PAC Subcommittee will meet in April and report back to the full Public Art Committee in May.
