Highway Patrol to host sessions for prospective troopers

The N.C. State Highway Patrol is hiring and plans informations sessions for prospective troopers.

The state agency is taking applications for Troop F, which covers 10 counties in North Carolina’s foothills and mountains, Troop G, which covers 17 counties in the mountains, and Troop H, which covers nine counties in the Piedmont.


The sessions will offer information on employment with the Highway Patrol.

Troop F informational sessions will be held April 16 and 23, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. both days, at troop headquarters, 1033 Smyre Farm Road, Newton.

Troop G sessions will be held April 26 and May 3, 9 a.m.-noon both days, at Reynolds Fire Department 235 U.S. 74, Asheville.

Troop H will host sessions 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 7 at the Kings Mountain Armory, 200 Phifer Road, Kings Mountain, and 9 a.m.-noon June 21 at the IMAP Center, 2327 Tipton Drive, Charlotte.

At all sessions, troopers will discuss everything from basic qualifications of an applicant to retirement from the organization.
