YMCA track team, East Little League hosting 5Ks on Saturday

The Warrior’s Way 5K on Saturday, April 5, at Salisbury Community Park will benefit the J.F. Hurley YMCA Youth Track in its quest to compete at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa.
A fun run for children is at 9 a.m. with the 5K run/walk following at 9:30 a.m.
Awards will be given to the top three overall and to the top three in 15 age groups for both male and female. Dri-fit shirts will go to all participants. The race will be run on all trails at the Salisbury Community Park.

The Academy Sports East Rowan Diamond Sports 5K will headline the opening day of baseball season on Saturday, April 5, at the East Rowan Baseball Fields at Rockwell Elementary School. The 5K run/walk starts at 8 a.m. with the half mile fun run following at 8:50 a.m.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top male and female masters runners. Additional awards will be given to the top three, male and female, in seven age groups.
All pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt, and race day registrants will get them as long as they last.
