EAST SPENCER — An East Spencer woman was charged with aiding and abetting armed robbery Saturday.

Tanesha Lashonda Turner, of Weant Street, was arrested after authorities said she was present during a recent armed robbery, according to warrants.

In the documents, officers said Turner was with another woman when Jazmine Gaskin of Laurel Point Circle was robbed at gunpoint.

A “burgundy sack with contents from a purse” was taken during the struggle, according to warrants. Authorities said a black handgun was used in the dispute.

The contents were valued at $10.

Turner was charged about 9 a.m. She was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.
