Beauty in the rain, drop by drop
Tuesday was an umbrella kind of day.
And a day for galoshes, a raincoat and possibly a kayak, depending on where you live.
Oh, forget it. Tuesday was a day best spent indoors, by a fire, with a book in one hand and a hot drink in the other.
If you were adventurous enough to wander outside, though — or if you just had to, for work or school or whatever reason — you might have been treated to the sights that inspired photographer Wayne Hinshaw.
The anticipation in a single raindrop clinging to a bud.
The concentric rings formed by drops splat-splat-splatting on a puddle.
The image created by branches reflected through fallen leaves, an impressionist painting in true water colors.
Today, the weather watchers say, the sun returns and with it warmer temperatures. It’ll be an outdoors kind of day.
But keep the umbrella and camera handy. Saturday brings with it another chance for rain, and another opportunity to be inspired.
