An East Rowan High School student was charged with selling marijuana to a minor on the campus Tuesday.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Glenn James Garrett, 17, of Larin Way, Salisbury, with felony sell/deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. A report said Garrett had a small amount of the drug that he sold to a student for $5. The juvenile, who can not be named, was charged with simple possession of marijuana. The juvenile told school officials he found the bag at the bus stop, a report said.

When the juvenile’s father arrived at the school, officials discovered he bought the marijuana from another student.
