Lexington Farmers Market is having its Pumpkin Day event this Saturday, Oct. 13. The Davidson County Extension and Community Association is sponsoring a Pumpkin Recipe Contest. The categories are pumpkin pie, pumpkin dessert, pumpkin bread/muffins, pumpkin roll and pumpkin cookies. Although this season’s market has come to an end, Lexington Market has two more special events coming up: the Harvest Market Saturday, Nov. 17 and the Holiday Market, Saturday, Dec. 1.
The Market is located inside the Historic Southern Rail and Freight Depot, 129 S. Railroad St., Lexington, 8 a.m.-noon. There is free parking at either end of the depot.
