The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce is offering a guided tour of Cuba Nov. 10-17.

An informational briefing with Cuban food will be held on  May 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Gateway Building at 204 E. Innes St.). RSVP to the Chamber at (704) 633-4221 or info@rowanchamber.com.

“This is an excellent opportunity to see a presentation about the places you will be visiting and get answers to your travel questions,” said Chamber President Elaine Spalding. Representatives from Chamber Explorations will provide detailed information on the tour for interested participants. Frank Goodnight of Diversified Graphics is the Chamber’s chairman of the International Trip program.

Rowan Chamber members and community leaders are invited to be among the first Americans to legally travel to Cuba and gain a new perspective on Cuba’s incredible history, business and economic development opportunities, cuisine and culture through people-to-people cultural interactions and exchanges.

Travelers will delight in Cuba’s storied history from the Museum of the Revolution to Ernest Hemingway’s Farm. They will have opportunities to interact with the locals, visiting the home and studio of a famous artist, a classic car enthusiast club as well as the San Jose Craft Market, where local artisans show off their handmade goods. Travelers will enjoy UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Old Havana and the beautiful countryside of Pinar del Rio, where a visit to a local tobacco farm and cigar factory is included. The trip includes one night at the Airport Miami Marriott and five nights at the Melia Havana Hotel.

The tour price is $3,599 per person (double occupancy) and includes roundtrip airfare from Miami, Florida. Save $200 per person if you sign up by June 30. The tour includes seven nights of first class hotel accommodations, 16 meals, professional tour escort, baggage handling, Cuban travel visa, Cuban medical insurance, sightseeing and admission to all attractions per itinerary.
