Please warn the tax payers in Rowan County not to pay their taxes online.

I paid mine late on a Friday night. After authorizing payment, I saw where I paid $47.87 in order to pay my taxes online. I could/should have paid in person the next day and paid $1,800 without the extra $47. When I checked my bank account online, I saw the $47 also went to Rowan County.

I never complain about paying taxes, but I am complaining about extortion.
