Rowan weather: Cloudy today, peeks of sun Friday

No warnings for today, though many areas remain flooded, water-logged and soggy. We still have a 70 percent chance of showers this morning, with patchy fog possible before 10 a.m.
It will be cloudy with a high of 63. Wind will blow from the north around 5 mph. Tonight will still be cloudy with a low of 42. Enjoy your celebration, but do not drink and drive, endangering others.
New Year’s Day will be mostly cloudy again, with a high of 52 and north northwest wind at 3-5 mph. Friday night’s low will drop to the freezing mark, 32. North northwest winds will continue at 6 mph.
For Saturday, we might see the sun, with a chilly high of 49 and west winds at 3-6 mph. Saturday night’s low will be 30.
Sunny again Sunday, with a high of 52 and a low of 30.
The new week starts out sunny, with a high of 48 and a very cold low of 25.
And Tuesday and Wednesday should be sunny, too.
Tuesday’s high will be a chilly 48, with a low of 31, and Wednesday’s high will be 49.
