The rest of the week has a chance of rain each day. We need rain. Lawns are already crunchy. Farmers are irrigating, if they can, and dust is flying through the air.
Today we may have a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. It will be a mostly cloudy day with a high of 84. Warm wind will blow from the south southwest at 5-7 mph.
Tonight, the chance of storms increases to 40 percent; some storms could be quite heavy. The low will be 66, with more south southwest winds.
It’s up to a 50 percent chance of rain on Wednesday, with storms possible and fog in the early morning. The day will be cloudy with a high near 80 and south southwest wind at 6-8 mph, bringing in the warm air. Wednesday night, the chance of showers and storms is 40 percent, with a low of 64.
Thursday, too, has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, and it will be cloudy again, with a high near 81. The night’s low will be 64, with just a 20 percent chance of showers.
It will be partly sunny Friday, with a 30 percent chance of showers after 5 p.m. The high will be 83. Friday night still has a 30 percent chance of showers, with a low of 63.
The sun comes out in full Saturday, with a high of 86 and a low of 66.
Then the 30 percent chance of rain returns for Sunday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 88. Sunday night has the same chance of showers and storms with a low of 66.
And next Monday, June 1, will have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, partly sunny skies and a high of 86.
