West Rowan’s Toni Lucente was named to the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association All-State team for 3A public schools.
Lucente had 25 goals and 25 assists this season and is West’s career leader in goals (103) and assists (93).

Catawba junior first baseman Chris Dula has been named a first team All-American by Daktronics (SIDs) and the NCBWA (writers) and a second team All-American by the ABCA (coaches). Dula won the triple crown in the SAC this season, batting .402 with 14 homers and 54 RBIs.
Catawba senior pitcher Nick Lomascolo was an Honorable Mention All-American on the Daktronics and NCBWA teams. Lomascolo was 10-3 with a 2.14 ERA and fanned 123.

Catawba senior Drew Stoltz was named a Scholar All-American. He caused 17 turnovers and collected 40 groundballs. He has a 3.2 GPA in business administration.

A.L. Brown point guard Derrick Copeland will play basketball at Emory & Henry in Emory, Va.
• Carson outfielder Dylan Carpenter will play baseball at Catawba, while Carson outfielder Greg Tonnesen is headed to Campbell.

Carson’s versatile John Daugherty was named NPC Player of the Year for baseball.
Carson’s Colton Laws was named NPC Pitcher of the Year.
Daugherty and Laws are both rising seniors.
Carson’s Chris Cauble was named NPC Coach of the Year after leading the Cougars to a 24-4 season and an 11-1 conference record.
Carson also placed pitcher Dillon Atwell, catcher Bryson Prugh and outfielders K.J. Pressley, Ben Gragg and Dylan Carpenter on the All-NPC team.
South Rowan catcher Eric Tyler, pitcher/outfielder Dillon Parker and outfielders Dylan Goodman and Tyler Fuller made the All-NPC team.
East Rowan placed catcher Luke Setzer, pitcher Connor Johnson, third baseman Hunter Brooks and DH Dustin Ritchie on the All-NPC team.
West Rowan outfielders Harrison Baucom and Taylor Garczynski and catcher Michael Pinkston made All-NPC.
Also on the team are North Iredell’s Seth White and Trey Gibson, and West Iredell’s Brett Pope and Garrett Bell.

Carson outfielder Sidney Grkman, who signed with UNC Greensboro, was named NPC Player of the Year.
East Rowan’s Sydney Poole, who will play at Pfeiffer, was named NPC Pitcher of the Year.
East’s Mike Waddell was named NPC Coach of the Year. East went 10-2 in the league and tied for first with North Iredell.
Mustangs joining Poole on the All-NPC team were Steffi Sides, Courtney Lyerly, Ally Mills, Jesse Rummage and Tori Gaul.
Cougars joining Grkman on the All-NPC team were Lacee Hunsucker, Kaycee Kennedy and Morgan Peninger.
West Rowan’s Catherine Whitley, Taylor Martin and Hunter Gibbons made All-NPC, along with South Rowan’s Katherine Starnes and McKenzie Ward.
Also on the team are North Iredell’s Breanna Davenport, Payton York, Lacey Fox and Heather Josey; West Iredell’s Jennifer Moose, and Statesville’s Gabby Andreas.

Carson’s Lyndsey Moore, Cassie Howard, Sarah Safrit and Katie Barringer made All-NPC.
South Rowan’s Leslie Franks and Brooke Helms were named All-NPC.

Davie County’s Morgan Hendrix was named CPC Player of the Year for softball.
Hendrix was joined on the All-CPC team by Abby Daniels, Allie Fruits, Caroline Miller and Sarah Myers.
The CPC Pitcher of the Year is North Davidson’s Mackenzie Hauser. The CPC Coach of the Year is North Davidson’s Mike Lambros.
• Davie’s Nick Boswell, Luke Martin, Charlie Muchakot and Jeremy Walker were named to the All-CPC baseball team.
The CPC Pitcher of the Year is West Forsyth’s Michael Bates. The CPC Player of the Year is North Davidson’s Drew Beaver. North Davidson’s Mike Meadows was named CPC Coach of the Year.
• Davie’s Brooke Hedgspeth made the All-CPC soccer team. West Forsyth’s Alison Price was CPC Player of the Year.
•Davie’s Scott Gallimore and David Hursey made the All-CPC tennis team. R.J. Reynolds’ Jack Riazzi was named CPC Player of the Year.
• Making the All-CPC boys track team were Caleb Mathis, Boyce Seals and Kenyon Tatum. Hannah Dove and Jorie Sineath made the All-CPC girls track team.
• Davie’s Philip Kelley and Chase Moore earned spots on the All-CPC golf team.

Savannah beat the Kannapolis Intimidators 8-2 in the completion of a suspended game on Thursday.
In the regularly scheduled game, Jake Brown’s 11th-inning single gave the Intimidators a 5-4 walkoff win.

In the eGolf Tour’s Sedgefield Classic in Greensboro, Frank Adams III has shot 71-70 — 141 and is tied for 17th after two rounds.
The cutline fell at 5-over 145. Will Collins shot 76-70 — 146.
• The Corbin Hills Ladies played their annual, two-day Grace Rodgers Spring Handicap Tournament on Tuesday and Thursday.
The low net winner was Carolynn Reis. She was followed by Mary Seaford, Becky Isenhour and Joy Maughmer.
Low gross was won by Susan Morris. She was followed by Kristi Laton.

Southern Rowan plays at Kernersville tonight.
• Stanly had a 10-run inning and rolled to a 17-5 win against Winston-Salem on Thursday.
• Parker Henderson’s three-run homer was the big blow as Concord beat the Mooresville Legends 8-4 on Thursday.
Ty Pruitt pitched five innings for the win, and Daniel Roman and Jake Barbee had two hits each.
Sean Parlee had two hits for the Legends, and Dallas Jackson pitched four strong innings.

Carson won 5-0 against Mooresville on Wednesday.
Dylan Snider pitched a one-hitter and struck out six. Brandon Sloop hit his second three-run homer in as many nights. Tanner Christy extended his hitting streak. Brandon Newton had a run-scoring single.
Carson (5-0) is home against Kannapolis tonight.
• Joey Bonarrigo had two hits for Kannapolis in a 7-5 loss to Concord. Riley McGee had three hits for Concord.

Salisbury Parks and Rec will hold its baseball and fast-pitch softball camps on June 17-20, from 9 until noon, at Salisbury Community Park.
Justin Morgan will conduct the baseball camp, while Elizabeth Clarke will direct the softball camp.
