Fun Run Saturday

Partners in Learning fun run Saturday
As a part of its 15th Year Celebration on Saturday, Partners in Learning will have two running events on the Catawba College track.
A kidsí fun run for anyone 12 and under is at 5:30 p.m. The event is free, but donations are being accepted. Each finisher will receive a medal. A 50/50 raffle will be held following the event.
The main event is a 1 Mile Prediction Run. It is free, but donations will also be accepted. Four laps on the track equal one mile. No watches or cell phones are allowed. Runners will predict their time, and then complete the laps without aid of any timing device. The top three, closest to their predictions, will win prizes. A $50 gift card goes to first place, $25 to second and $15 to third.
Other events during the day will include a yard sale from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Youth Special Olympics from 1-3 p.m., and a Fall Festival from 3-5 p.m. For more information, contact Partners in Learning at 704-638-9020 or epartnersinlearning.org.
