A.L. Brown defeated Parkwood 45-21 on Friday to improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the SPC.
The Wonders led 25-0 at halftime and played evenly with the Rebels (3-3, 1-2) in the second half. Brown now heads into a bye week tied for first place in the conference with Sun Valley and Anson County.
Terrance Johnson continued to play well since his return from an ACL injury. Johnson, a junior linebacker, made his season debut Monday and forced a fumble in an overtime victory against Marvin Ridge. Last night he scored on both a 17-yard interception return and a 24-yard fumble return.
