Incidents and felony arrests — April 30

Those listed below with charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Fight breaks out between two prisoners, one arrested

Around 9:15 p.m. Sunday night, two inmates at the Rowan County Detention Center, got into a fight, according to deputies. When officers responded, they found what is commonly known as a shank, in this case a toothbrush with a sharpened piece of concrete on the end, on the floor near the two men, and one of the men suffered minor cuts consistent with the weapon. Both men were treated for injuries and Joshua Javier Gonzales, 40, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon in prison.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A larceny from a business on Heilig Road reportedly occurred about 9:23 a.m. April 27.

• A larceny from a business on Tingle Drive reportedly occurred about 7 p.m. April 27.
