CHINA GROVE — Car enthusiasts, get ready for a new car show that is coming to the area.

Highest Praise Family Worship Center will be presenting its premier car show on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, which is located at 1700 Bostian Road, China Grove.

The show will be serving as a fundraising event for the music department at Highest Praise Family Worship Center.

Chris Hart, who serves as the worship leader at the church, said, “we were trying to think of a fun way of raising money and bringing the community together,” and therefore, this is why they came up with this particular idea to do a car show.

The event will feature a variety of vehicles including classic cars, trucks and motorcycles, and as noted on their Facebook page, some amazing vehicles are expected to be on display, and trophies will be awarded as well.

All of the car show entries will be taken on the day of the event; therefore, for those wishing to enter their vehicle, the entry fee of $20, along with needed information will be taken at that time.

Along with the cars, vendors will be on hand for the event providing visitors the opportunity to browse and shop. Those interested in learning additional information or becoming a vendor, may email info@hpfwc.net or call the church at 704-857-6500. Vendor fee is $20. It was noted on the Facebook page that there will be no food trucks.

At the current time, Hart said that they have approximately 15 vendors, with a variety of items being sold ranging from Scentsy and handmade jewelry to Tupperware, Mary Kay and a wood crafter.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served during the day.

The event begins at 11 a.m., however, it was shared on Facebook that vendors and those participating in the car show may arrive at 8 a.m. if setup is required.

This is the church’s first car show, but Hart said that they plan on continuing it and making it an annual event and offering a fun time for families.

This is an event “for families to come together” and focuses on families, which is something the church is big on, Hart said, “and making sure that is a priority.”
