MONROE — CJ Gray launched his 11th homer of the season to highlight A.L. Brown’s 11-6 baseball win at CATA on Tuesday.

It was the second win of the week for the Wonders (7-16).

CONCORD — A.L. Brown’s softball team routed West Cabarrus 19-2 on Tuesday in Greater Metro Conference play.

MK Black and winning pitcher Kennedy Yow drove in four runs each for the Wonders (9-6-1, 6-5).

Marynda Blackwelder scored three runs and had two RBIs. Winning pitcher Kaylee Dunning scored three and knocked in two. Madison Cook had two hits and scored twice. Madyson Baker had a triple and scored three runs. Mya McNeely had two hits and scored three runs.

The Wonders are 25th in the 4A West RPI rankings.

Hickory Ridge is the top GMC team and is seventh in the rankings. Lake Norman is 15th. Mooresville is 17th. South Iredell is 19th.
