Tuesday games …
CONCORD — Carson posted a breezy 11-1 win at Concord in five innings.
Kendal Sifford (2-2) was in charge on the mound in the South Piedmont Conference contest and struck out 10. He allowed five hits and three walks.
Maverick Walters tripled and Ryan Snyder and Corbin Hales had doubles, as the Cougars (4-5, 3-3) collected eight hits.
Hales, Walters and Cameron Williamson drove in two runs each. Williamson and Snyder scored two.

HUNTERSVILLE — East Rowan’s 11-6 victory at Lake Norman Charter was a sloppy one, but the Mustangs will take it, as it was the first South Piedmont Conference loss for the Knights.
East made six errors, while the Knights committed four.
It was the fifth win in a row for the Mustangs (8-2, 5-1). East, Lake Norman Charter and West Rowan all have one league loss now. East hosts the Falcons on Friday.
Mason Phelps (2-1) pitched four innings for the win. He survived six walks and posted five strikeouts.
Harrison Ailshie took the mound with runners on base and got six big outs in the fifth and sixth when the game still could have gone either way. He threw 33 pitches.
Andrew Myrick pitched the seventh with a comfortable lead.
East had 12 hits and scored three runs in the fourth, three in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Hunter Goodman had two doubles and three RBIs to lead the offense. Ailshie had a double. Phelps, Sam Blackwelder, Braylen Ketchie and Krys Hernandez had two hits each.

CONCORD — West Rowan scored nine runs in the first two innings and smashed Central Cabarrus 14-2 in South Piedmont Conference action.
The Falcons (9-2, 6-1) had 13 hits, with Luke Ponczka, Eli Graham and Brody Pope rapping doubles.
Maddox Moore and Pope scored three runs each. Moore, Pope, Gaige Scruggs and Brice Knox had two hits each.
Scruggs, Ponczka and Pope drove in two each.
Moore wasn’t at his best and needed 70 pitches to get eight outs, six on strikeouts. but the Falcons had the game under control when he exited with a 9-2 lead.
Carter Durant was very sharp in relief, striking out eight, with no hits or walks, in 3 1/3 innings.
West led 11-2 after six, so it wasn’t a 10-run rule game. The Falcons added three runs in the seventh.
Ponzka pitched the bottom of the seventh and recorded the 15th strikeout for the pitching staff.

SPENCER — Thomasville scored 10 runs in the first inning and rolled 28-2 against North Rowan (3-4, 2-1) in Central Carolina Conference action.

SALISBURY — West Davidson won 12-3 at Salisbury in Central Carolina Conference action.
The Hornets were in the game — down 6-3 in the fourth — when they hit into a triple play with the bases loaded.
Cole Price had three hits for Salisbury (0-6, 0-1). Landon Tucker had two hits. Evan Koontz had a double.
Hank Webb pitched some good innings.
