CHINA GROVE — Carolina Caring has multiple free support groups for those on the journey of grief and healing. Register for each group online at carolinacaring.org/support.

The organization’s China Grove location is among those offering that support.

Titled “Pieces of Grief,” this creative workshop invites participants to bring a small copy of a picture that can be used to create a collage in remembrance and honor of their loved one.

The workshop will be held on April 10 from 3-4:30 p.m. at 301 E Centerview St., China Grove, with registration required by April 3.

Additional group meetings are as follows:

The “Loss of Spouse Support Group” is a 5-week support group open to anyone who is grieving the loss of a spouse or companion. This group meets March 26 from 1-2 p.m. in Gastonia at 2240 Remount Road, Gastonia. The group continues to meet every Wednesday in April. Register by March 21.

“Game Night” invites participants to bring their favorite games or cards for an evening of fun and pizza with others who are on a path of healing. The event occurs March 28 at 5 p.m. in Newton at 3975 Robinson Road, Newton. Register by March 25.

“Power of the Written Expression,” led by grief and counseling professionals, lets participants explore the physical/emotional benefits of expressing oneself through writing following a loss. The workshop is set for April 5 from 10-11:30 a.m. also in Newton at 3975 Robinson Road. Register by April 2.

Rowan County is one of 12 counties that Carolina Caring serves. They offer hospice care, palliative medicine, Cardinal Kids and home-based primary care.
