SALISBURY — The Rowan County Democratic Party has announced that Democratic Chair Geoffrey Hoy will be the speaker for the March Democratic Breakfast on Saturday.

Hoy is scheduled to speak on the topic of moving “forward to organize and not just agonize,” with a goal of bringing people together across the country with hope.

The monthly breakfast is held at the Rowan County Democratic Headquarters, located at 1504 W. Innes St., Salisbury. Doors open at 9:45 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a breakfast item to share.

March is traditionally the month where members of the Democratic Party organize into the individual areas called precincts. Saturday’s meeting will focus on that annual effort, with local Democrats, Unaffiliated voters and “disaffected” Republicans invited.
