SALISBURY — The Salisbury City Council will consider the annexation of an-approximately 115-acre parcel on Reid Farm Road during the upcoming meeting on Tuesday.
The properties in question are at the end of Reid Farm Road and adjacent to South Main Street.
Both properties, one sized at approximately 52 acres and the other at approximately 62 acres, are in the Salisbury extra-territorial jurisdiction already and so have Salisbury zoning designations. Therefore, there is no simultaneous rezoning requested by the owners, the Orbison family.
The property is zoned Light Industrial.
The Salisbury City Council meets on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in town hall, located at 217 S. Main St., Salisbury. The other agenda items that will be discussed include:
- The council will recognize the Next Generation Youth Football Team for winning its second national championship.
- The council will consider a resolution authorizing the $500,000 purchase of property for the Empire Hotel project.
- The council will consider authorizing the demolition of three residential structures, located at 1300 W. Horah St., 615 W. Monroe St. and 2222 Jake Alexander Blvd. S.
