GRANITE QUARRY — East Rowan clobbered Northwest Cabarrus 14-2 in South Piedmont Conference play.

The Mustangs (3-0, 2-0) got back-to-back homers from Chloe Shank and Lily Kluttz.

East had multiple hits from six players and all the starters scored.

MOUNT ULLA — West Rowan built a 12-0 lead after three innings and was able to survive an eight-run fourth inning by Lake Norman Charter.

The Falcons (2-1, 2-0) won 13-11 in the SPC game.

Riley Haggas, EA Nance and Ava Baxter homered for the Falcons.

Reese Poole went 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs. Nance had three hits and drove in three. Haggas had three RBIs.

Raney Phelps is batting .714. She was 2-for-4.

Arabelle Shulenburger had two RBIs.

CONCORD — South Rowan crushed Robinson 15-0 for a win in the SPC.

South scored 12 runs in the first inning and ended it in three innings.

South (2-1, 1-1) got triples from Cressley Patterson and Carmen Thomas, while Kynlee Dextraze, Danica Krieg and Avery Fisher had doubles.

Lexie Ritchie, Dextraze and Fisher had three RBIs. Fisher also scored three.

Cadance Castor and Remi Haggerty handled the pitching.

CHINA GROVE — Central Cabarrus scored seven runs in the first inning and beat Carson 14-4 in five innings in SPC action.

Abigail Harrelson had two hits for the Cougars (1-1, 0-1). Leah Troutman had two RBIs. Madison Clark had a double.

Kinley Hood drove in three for the Vikings (2-1, 1-1).
