Man injured in Wednesday night shooting

Police say one man was injured in a shooting in the 1200 block of West Horah Street near Grimm Street on Wednesday. Reports state the shooting happened sometime between 7:30 and 8:25 p.m. Police say the victim was shot in the stomach and is expected to recover, but they also say the victim is not providing any information.

Salisbury Police reports

• A larceny of a catalytic converter from Faith Road reportedly occurred between 5:20 and 5:50 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Property damage on Henderlite Street reportedly occurred about 2:13 a.m. Feb. 27.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A larceny from a business on Peace Street reportedly occurred between 2 p.m. Feb. 24 and 8 a.m. Feb. 25.

• Amaury Romero Jr., 39, was charged Feb. 25 with communicating threats and assault on a female.

• Jaime Daniel Rivera, 26, was charged Feb. 25 with misdemeanor second-degree trespassing.

• Bryan Blair Starnes, 35, was charged Feb. 25 with felony flee to elude arrest, resist/obstruct/delay of a public officer, fictitious or altered title/registration card/tag and three counts of failure to appear.
