SALISBURY — Each month, The Forum of Salisbury honors one classified and one licensed employee as “The Forum of Salisbury Employees of the Month” for the Rowan-Salisbury School System. These staff members are nominated by students and parents, and the winners receive $250, a six-month membership to The Forum, and a 5-class pass for SoFul Yoga and Wellness at Railwalk.
Certified Staff Member of the Month:
Jason Harwood, the technology facilitator for Bostian, Landis, and Shive elementary schools is The Forum of Salisbury Certified Employee of the Month for February.
The person who nominated Harwood said: “(He) brings a plethora of gifts and talents to the overall culture and climate of our school. As he serves in our Instructional Technology Facilitator position, he nurtures and guides our teachers to the highest level of engagement through instructional practices. He aligns himself with the vision that we must be student-driven. And you will catch him playing in our live school band on many occasions where he brings many smiles to the students’ faces. I could not think of anyone more deserving of this honor. We love you, Mr. Harwood!”
Classified Staff Member of the Month:
Emily Kluttz, the front office secretary at West Rowan High School, is The Forum of Salisbury Classified Employee of the Month for February.
In nominating Kluttz, one student wrote: “She goes above and beyond for all students, staff and visitors of West Rowan High School. She is compassionate, caring, and supportive of all of the people she comes across and is more than worthy of this award.”
