So, you want to be a dictator.

Determine what group of people are not well liked. Hitler chose the Jews and blamed them for everything. Trump chose immigrants. They were taking American jobs, bringing crime, drugs, disease, etc. Eventually Hitler added other groups, Trump is doing the same.

Hitler relocated the Jews to ghettos, then to concentration camps. Trump is sending immigrants to Guantanamo Bay.

Start your own media business (Truth Social). Spread disinformation/misinformation. Claim other media is fake news. Hitler and his “brownshirts” burned books in city squares. Trump’s MAGA is banning books.

Indoctrinate the young, they are the easiest to influence. Hitler started “Hitler Youth.” White Christian nationalism is infiltrating all parts of our society, especially the schools.

Make sure you tell big lies and tell them often. Ignore the law. Keep the public uninformed.

Hitler’s Brownshirts set the Reichstag on fire. Hitler then dissolved the government. Trump MAGAs invaded Congress to overturn an election. Do what you can to make Congress ineffective. Fix it so you cannot be prosecuted for any crime while in office.

Get the church on your side. Hitler required German bishops to pledge allegiance to him. Make believe you are defending Christianity. Stand in front of a church and hold a Bible in your hand. Support White Christian nationalism.

Get major companies to support you. Hitler gained the support of industrialists like Kupp Industries. Trump has the support of major technology giants like Elon Musk. Help them, and yourself, become even wealthier.

Hitler invaded several countries in Europe. Trump wants Panama, Greenland and Gaza.

Convince everyone that only you can fix it. Make everyone believe you will make things better for them while you are making things better for yourself and your rich friends.

Do whatever it takes to get the military to support you. German generals were required to pledge allegiance to Hitler. Trump is already gaining control of the military.

Do all that, and you too can be a dictator.
