SALISBURY — Salisbury residents are invited to work together to create a greener and healthier town by attending the 4th annual We Dig Salisbury event on Saturday, March 1, at 10 a.m. – noon at the Miller Recreation Center, 1402 West Bank Street.

Hosted by the Community Appearance Commission and Salisbury Tree Board, the event aims to educate the public on the joys and benefits of planting and raising trees. People can view demonstrations on planting and pruning techniques and visit educational booths offering information on nature and conservation efforts. Raffle prizes will be offered throughout the day.

Residents of Salisbury can take home a free redbud or Cherokee Princess dogwood to plant in their yards. Over 300 of these trees will be offered, on a first come-first served basis.
