I wrote this letter to Mr. Gingrich after receiving a request from him for money to prevent Salisbury from becoming a sanctuary city. I was shocked to receive this letter knowing the effort LSC is putting forth to help resettle immigrants in Salisbury. It’s unfortunate that he is sending this letter to try and persuade residents not to support resettling immigrants. 

Mr. Gingrich:

Your ancestors were immigrants, and you are right. As the child of immigrants, you have done your part to damage our country. You are as uninformed as the people who will believe what you say in this letter. As the child of immigrants, you should be ashamed of yourself. I suggest you repent, get to know some immigrants, and find out, unlike you, that they will be good upstanding citizens and a positive influence on our country.

I support Salisbury becoming a sanctuary city. I support LSC and their efforts to welcome immigrants to Salisbury.
