February reception for NC legislators

The Rowan County Republican Party hosted a reception with local state legislators on Thursday, Feb. 13. Sen. Carl Ford, and Reps. Harry Warren and Grant Campbell had the opportunity to meet local Republicans informally, update the audience on state news, speak and take questions. Rep. Julia Howard was not able to attend.  

Rowan County Republican Party 2025 precinct meetings and convention

The annual Rowan County Republican Precinct Meetings and Convention will be Saturday, March 15, in the county administration building at 130 W. Innes St., Salisbury. Registration will be from 8-9 a.m. Participants must register before 9 a.m.

Any voter registered as a Rowan County Republican as of Jan. 31, 2025, may attend and vote in the precinct meetings and convention. There is a $10 fee to cover costs.

At the precinct meetings, participants will be gathered by their voting precinct to elect a precinct chair and vice-chair and to discuss how to get out the vote in their precinct. 

The convention will begin following the precinct meetings. At this year’s convention, the county party leadership for 2025-2027 will be elected. The newly elected leadership will include the officers and 10 members at large. The new party leadership team and precinct chairs and vice chairs will become voting members on the Rowan County Party Executive Committee for their term.

Precinct and convention attendees will also be eligible to attend and vote in the GOP Congressional District 6 convention and in the N.C. GOP Convention. New leadership and other key issues will be voted on at each level.
