SALISBURY — The Rowan County Board of Commissioners has a light agenda during the regularly-scheduled portion of its meeting on Monday, due to it following the county’s annual planning retreat.

The planning retreat is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday and run through at least 3 p.m., with agenda items including discussions about the farmland preservation fund, the unified development ordinance and updates on current projects under construction, among others.

The regular meeting will follow at 6 p.m., however there are no actual items on the agenda other than the consent agenda. The consent agenda is a way for the commissioners to group together items that are viewed as non-controversial, and so do not require any discussion before the commissioners vote on them.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday and will be held at the Rowan County Administration Building located at 130 W. Innes St. in Salisbury.
