Letter: Extend the bike lane

Exceptional job creating bike lane from Spencer to Salisbury has been completed.
Please redraw the traffic lanes east to include bike path from Spencer to the Wil-Cox Bridge Yadkin River. No need for four traffic lanes.
Cities like to claim being the capital ideal location of different products or interests.
Examples include Salisbury Cheerwine capital; Lexington BBQ capital; Denton farm equipment capital; Concord NASCAR capital; Asheboro zoo capital; Charlotte Sports capital.
So I suggest Spencer to be known as transportation capital. Create the 29-70 bike path. Build museum to display every known means of transportation next to the train museum.
Instead of National Whitewater center build the National Brownwater center on the Rowan side of the Yadkin River. Include kayaks and canoes.
The brownwater enthusiast can canoe from Wil-Cox Bridge to Dukeville, Tamarac marina and beyond. Tourists need to discover the Rowan County side of High Rock Lake. Bike path could connect 7th Avenue Ext. to Hawkinstown Road then Salisbury Greenway or 3rd Avenue to Hollywood Road, Ridge Road, Enon Church Road then Hurley School Road and Salisbury Park.
