High school basketball: Tournament plans announced for CCC and GMC

CCC girls
The Central Carolina Conference will hold condensed four-team tournaments.
That leaves out the North Rowan girls. They would have been the 5 seed in the CCC.
All the girls games will be played at Lexington.
No. 3 Salisbury will play No. 2 West Davidson at 6 p.m. on Monday. Then No. 4 East Davidson will take on Lexington, which went 10-0 in the league, at 7:30 p.m.
The semifinal winners will play for the title on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
CCC boys
The CCC boys tournament will have an unusual format.
Salisbury will host two games on Monday.
N0. 3 Lexington will play No. 2 North Rowan. Salisbury, the top seed will take on No. 4 Thomasville.
The semifinal winners will play at Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
GMC girls
Lake Norman has the first-round bye in the seven-team league.
First-round games on Monday are No. 5 West Cabarrus at No. 4 Mooresville; No. 6 South Iredell at No. 3 C0x Mill, and No. 7 A.L. Brown at No. 2 Hickory Ridge. Games start at 6 p.m.
Cox Mill is the host for the semifinals and championship game.
The 1-4-5 teams play in a Tuesday semifinal at 6 p.m. The 2-3-6-7 group plays a Wednesday semifinal at 6 p.m. The championship is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
GMC boys
Lake Norman has the bye for the boys tournament as well.
First-round games are set for Monday at 7:30 p.m., with No. 5 West Cabarrus at No. 4 Cox Mill; No. 6 A.L. Brown at No. 3 Hickory Ridge, and No. 7 South Iredell at No. 2 Mooresville.
The semifinal format is the 1-4-5 teams in a Tuesday semifinal at Cox Mill at 7:30 p.m., and the 2-3-6-7 teams in a Wednesday semifinal.
The championship game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
