I wanted to take time to note how much things have improved here in our little city. When I moved back into town, the sound of gunfire was a common occurrence and we had earned the nickname “Shotsbury.” While I have no statistics readily available, I do read the paper. Violent crime seems to be down by what is reported and I can personally attest to the fact that I don’t here gunfire anymore.

Kudos to Chief Patrick Smith, his officers and staff. And folks, remember that monthly meetings are held at the Police Department (Salisbury Neighborhood Action Group) to address your concerns.
