College men’s basketball: Blue Bears get road victory at Shaw

RALEIGH — Teon Tiller scored 19 points and helped the Blue Bears win 86-82 in Shaw’s Spaulding Gym in front of 1,000 disappointed fans.
Tiller’s points in Saturday’s CIAA scrap included clinching free throws with four seconds left.
Jacob Hukins made a huge shot for Livingstone, a game-tying 3-pointer with 1:51 left. King Ijeoma made the layup that put the Blue Bears (11-12, 4-9) ahead to stay with 51 seconds left.
Jamal Cannady didn’t have a great shooting day from the field, but he was 9-for-9 at the foul line and scored 24 points for the Blue Bears.
James Nipper scored 13 for LC. Hukins had 12, while Ijeoma added 10.
Livingstone earned 37 free-throw attempts and made 29. The Blue Bears shot 42.4 percent from the field with seven 3-pointers.
Trent Mcintyre scored 24 to lead Shaw (11-12, 6-5).
