LEXINGTON — Lexington beat second-place Salisbury 56-35 and has clinched the first regular-season conference championship in program history.
Salisbury stayed even with the slow-starting Yellow Jackets (17-4, 9-0) for a quarter and was only down 21-15 at the half, but Lexington took charge in the the third quarter and won going away.
The Hornets (11-8, 6-3) made only one field goal in the fourth quarter.
Keaira Spruill led the Hornets with eight points. Torese Evans had scored in double figures in eight straight games, but was held to seven.
Evans scored 26 when the Hornets lost to the Yellow Jackets in overtime in early January.

TYRO — West Davidson is likely to tie for second place in the 1A/2A Central Carolina Conference and took a 53-47 victory against North Rowan.
The Green Dragons finished a season sweep of the Cavaliers. They won 66-63 at North Rowan in early January.
West Davidson (8-11, 5-3) started strong, but North (4-15, 2-6) outplayed the home team in the second quarter and was only down 23-22 at halftime.
West Davidson built a double-digit lead in a decisive third quarter and held on despite’s North’s best offensive production in the last few weeks. North lost its fifth straight game.
Dasia Elder scored 17 to lead the Cavaliers. Krisstyle Stockton had 12 points and eight steals.
Za’Kiya Oglesby blocked two shots. Kanya Cowan had six assists.
