The Rowan Chamber is hosting a trip to the Galapagos Islands from Oct. 17-27. The chamber has previously conducted international trips to Peru, Cuba, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Croatia and South Africa.
“Embark on an unforgettable adventure combining Ecuador’s vibrant culture with the unparalleled beauty of the Galapagos Islands,” said Chamber President Elaine Spalding.
She continued, “We’ll begin our trip in Quito, where colonial charm meets breathtaking landscapes. We’ll explore the iconic ‘Middle of the World,’ visit the famous Otavalo Market, and immerse ourselves in Ecuador’s rich indigenous traditions. Then, we’ll set sail aboard the Galapagos Coral for a cruise through the Galapagos Islands. We’ll discover pristine beaches, volcanic landscapes and unique wildlife. We’ll enjoy snorkeling, guided nature walks and expertly led excursions that showcase this global treasure in all its wonder.”
Join Spalding and check this adventure off the bucket list. Friends and family members of local community members are welcome to join the group. The trip includes an air and land package from Miami. The early bird price is $5,199 per person, if reservations are made by March 30.
Spalding said, “For even more adventure, you can extend your journey into the Amazon rainforest. Canoe through lush jungles, encounter incredible biodiversity and connect with the Kichwa community. This optional extension adds a thrilling dimension to your Ecuadorian experience. Prepare for a journey that promises discovery, wonder and memories to last a lifetime.”
Anyone interested can join the chamber for a travel briefing on Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. at the Paul E. Fisher Gateway Building, 204 E. Innes St. Attendees can join in person or via Zoom to learn more about the opportunity.
