SALISBURY — The Rowan County Board of Commissioners will issue a proclamation honoring local Chick-fil-A Operator William “Bo” Hawkins during the upcoming meeting on Monday.
Hawkins has been at the head of the local fast-food restaurant since April of 1999, when he opened the location on East Innes Street, and has been a mainstay in the Salisbury community since.
The proposed proclamation will honor Hawkins for his 35 years in the industry, which includes his work with Chick-Fil-A both with the Salisbury Mall location and before moving to Salisbury.
The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday and will be held at the Rowan County Administration Building located at 130 W. Innes St. in Salisbury. The other agenda items that will be discussed include:
- The commissioners will consider naming a driveway in the 100 block of Barringer Road to Tinley Hill Lane. The driveway is required to have a name because there are plans for three houses on it.
