  • Originality: Show something new. Clip art or stock images will not be accepted
  • Specifically for BlockWork: Designs should incorporate the BlockWork logo and fit within a 12” x 12” area, using five colors or fewer.

Requirements for designs include:

  • T-shirt must incorporate the BlockWork logo in some way
  • The design may be on one side of the shirt only
  • Use five colors or fewer
  • Fit within 12” x 12” area

All Salisbury residents are eligible to submit designs. The deadline to apply is Feb. 14. Designs can be submitted online at salisburync.gov/BlockWork.

BlockWork is a grassroots program developed in 2010 by the Community Appearance Commission’s Neighborhood Leaders Alliance. The event strives to bring residents and community volunteers together to build cleaner and safer neighborhoods. Projects include carpentry, painting, landscaping and general clean-up in a one-block area. Long-term maintenance responsibility is assumed by block property owners, residents and neighborhood participants.

Neighborhood nominations for this year’s iteration of the event are being accepted by the city on the BlockWork website. The deadline for nominations is May 1.
