SALISBURY — Due to inclement weather in January, the Pausing to Heal event celebrating the National Day of Racial Healing had to be postponed.

A new date, Feb. 4, has been selected for this event, which is sponsored by EYES Journey, Embrace Your Elephant Scripturally. It will be facilitated by Frank and Michelle Strong at the Rowan Public Library main branch from 6-8 p.m. Michelle serves as founder and president of the organization.

As shared on their website, “the EYES Journey brings together faith communities to address the elephant in the room…racism, from the lens of God’s Word.”

Seating is limited, and registrations are recommended. As noted in an email, registrations made for the previously scheduled date were saved.

Those wishing to attend and register for the rescheduled time may do so by emailing to michelle@theeyesjourney.org or calling 757-779-2245.

While registration is recommended, Michelle Strong did say that people can also just show up for the event.

Additional information about the organization may be found on their website at www.theeyesjourney.org.
