SALISBURY — Catawba men’s basketball played well at home again and outscored Newberry 90-83 on Wednesday in Goodman Arena.
Catawba (12-8, 9-7) is 8-2 at home.
It was a solid South Atlantic Conference outing for the Indians, especially the second half. They defended the 3-point line well, while shooting 52 percent from the field and winning the turnover battle 15-12.
Nick Walker led the way for the Indians with 27 points on 13-for-18 shooting.
Kris Robinson’s 21-point night include three 3-pointers and 8-for-10 foul shooting.
Ibra Athie scored 13 points. Montraivis White handed out eight assists.
Davarrio Sheppard scored 19 and Drew Robinson had 17 for the Wolves (8-11, 5-9).
