College women’s basketball: Catawba wins on road

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Catawba women’s basketball team rode Saniya Wilson’s career game to an 88-77 South Atlantic Conference win at Tusculum on Wednesday.

Wilson scored 26 points, making 12 of 13 free throws.

Tusculum (4-6, 2-4) led by seven late in the third quarter, but freshman Bailee Goodlett made three 3-pointers as Catawba (7-3, 5-2) came back and grabbed the lead.

Catawba held Tusculum scoreless for a four-minute stretch in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Janiya Foskey had a huge game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Goodlett and Nala Baker scored 13.

NiKiah Chesterfield scored 26 for the Pioneers.
