SALISBURY — The Salisbury Elks No. 699 is hosting its Summer Blood Drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross later this month.

The drive will take place at the Elks Lodge, 508 S. Main St., Salisbury, on July 19 from 1:30-6 p.m.

Kathy Ender serves as the lodge chaplain and is the volunteer liaison for the blood drive. Their motto is “Elks Care — Elks Share.”

“We had a great response back in April,” Ender said. “That was our first blood drive but definitely not our last. We plan to have several blood drives during the year.”
To schedule an appointment, visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: ELKS then search by date to register. For assistance, call the lodge at 704-636-1161 or email Ender at kathyender@hotmail.com.
“Donating blood, especially during the summer, is so important,” Ender said. “It’s a great way for our Elks lodge and community to show how much we care and share.”

If the Elks blood drive does not work with your schedule, another blood drive is being held in Salisbury earlier that week at the Salisbury Civic Center, located at 315 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. That drive will take place on July 17 from 8 a.m. to noon.
