One in critical condition after vehicle hydroplanes, crashes

- Troopers inspect the scene of a two-vehicle crash in southwestern Rowan County that left one in critical condition.
ROWAN COUNTY — One man is in critical condition after his vehicle hydroplaned and crashed into another car in southwestern Rowan County.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. in the 6900 block of N.C. Highway 152, near the Unity Church Road intersection. A black sedan hydroplaned while travelling east on the highway, crossing the center line and crashing into a white sedan heading west, said a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper on scene.
The man in the black sedan was in critical condition and was transported to Atrium Health Cabarrus for treatment, said the trooper. The two people in the white sedan suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and were treated on scene.
The identities of those involved in the crash were not released. More information will be provided if it becomes available.
