Blessing of the children worship service

The F.A.C.T. (Families and Communities Together) “Blessing of the Children Worship Service” will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. at Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 500 Partee Street in Salisbury.

The service will combine the observances of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Black History Month using the National theme, “African Americans and the Arts.”

Dr. Mary Love, adjunct professor of Christian Education at Hood Theological Seminary, will make the Black History presentation.

The meditation will be given by Rev. Dr. Tajuan Kyles, pastor of Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church in East Spencer.

A special art contest for all ages (3 years old to seniors) will be highlighted and awarded.

Students named to the All A, A & B honor roll, perfect attendance and good conduct will be recognized.

The program is open to the public. Rev. Robert N. Kelley Jr. is the host pastor.
