Bowties & Bold Beginnings: Rowan Chamber hosts 98th annual meeting

SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce’s 98th annual meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. at the West End Plaza, located at 1935 Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury. Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is the title sponsor.
“The theme of this year’s annual meeting is ‘Bowties & Bold Beginnings’ and we look forward to having a fun event that showcases the best of Rowan County,” said event chair Kristen Trexler of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Katie Garner will serve as emcee. Garner was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina. She is currently a meteorologist for News4Jax, and previously worked for FOX News in New York, and WBTV in Charlotte. Garner has racked up an adventurous career in television, movies and local broadcasting. Her humor and crazy stories make her one of the best viewed new broadcasters in the U.S.
The gavel will pass from 2023 Chair Elaine Holden with the North Carolina Transportation Museum Foundation to 2024 Chair Terry Osborne with the Rowan-Kannapolis ABC Board. Awards will be presented for: Young Professional of the Year; Paul E. Fisher Chamber Volunteer of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Minority Business of the Year; and the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award.
There will be a reception and dinner catered by The Smoke Pit. Dress is business professional or semi-formal. There will be a bourbon pull and wine bottle raffle.
Corporate sponsorship tables are $1,500 with eight premium seats. Individual tickets are available for Chamber members $60 per person or $100 per couple (two tickets) and will not be assigned seating (first come; first served). Non-members are welcome to attend; however, the price is $90 per person.
