ROWAN COUNTY — A person was rescued after being pinned into his vehicle following a crash on N.C. Highway 150 on Saturday night.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Mooresville Road in the area of the Millbridge Road intersection. Only one vehicle was on the scene, a white Hyundai sedan.

An emergency official on the scene said that one person in the car became pinned in as a result of the crash, requiring firefighters and rescue workers on scene to extricate him. The emergency official also confirmed that the person in the car was an adult male.

That man was then transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash caused Mooresville Road to be shut down between Sloan Road and White Road for over an hour, when firefighters on scene reopened the road to one lane.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
