SALISBURY — The Salisbury Symphony has announced an evening of music, dining and elegance, featuring the vocal talents of Ricky Howsare. This event will be from 6-9 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the Peeler Crystal Lounge at Catawba College.

The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour, where guests will be treated to a jazz combo, including the Dr. Lawrence Quinnett of Livingstone College, alongside students Hope Hart, Clyde Waugh and Brian Roberts.

As the evening progresses, attendees will enjoy a spread of culinary delights, accompanied by an open bar featuring an array of handcrafted cocktails and fine wines. The highlight of the night is the performance by Howsare, accompanied by pianist Mark Tysinger.

Howsare, a recent addition to Salisbury’s community, has already won hearts with his personality and vocal talent. Originally from Pennsylvania, Howsare has a rich background in music, holding a bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis in voice from the University of Louisville. His career has seen him perform at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and alongside acclaimed artists across various genres.

His performance will showcase that versatility.

Guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail attire or black tie. The event is more than just a night of entertainment; it’s a fundraiser supporting the Salisbury Symphony’s ongoing efforts to bring music and culture to everyone in the community. The ticket cost of $150 is 50 percent tax-deductible.

Reservations can be made online at salisburysymphony.org until Jan. 8. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the voice of Howsare and support the Salisbury Symphony in its mission to enrich lives through music.
