SALISBURY — In December, Rowan EDC President Rod Crider addressed the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) Board of Directors. The discussion centered on how the college’s involvement with economic development could address current challenges and leverage future opportunities in the region.
Cynthia Mynatt, president of Ben Mynatt Nissan and the chair of the RCCC board, brought a unique perspective to the meeting, given her dual role as a member of the Rowan EDC board. Mynatt emphasized the critical connection between education and economic growth.
“Our partnership with RCCC is instrumental in shaping a workforce ready for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities,” Mynatt said. “The programs and offerings at RCCC are key to ensuring that our workforce is equipped for the existing job landscape and the new roles that the Rowan EDC is actively bringing into our community. This collaborative effort is essential for our continued economic success.”
