With a focus on improving reading, writing and communication skills, the Rowan Literacy Council plays a crucial role in improving residents’ overall quality of life.

Executive Director Laurel Harry noted that, “We are thrilled to be among the 108 Charlotte-area charities selected to receive funding. These funds will help us continue to provide one-on-one tutoring to struggling K-12 students in our community. We are so appreciative of SCC’s commitment to improving the lives (and eventual livelihoods) of children in our community.”
