CHINA GROVE — A 39-year-old woman was struck by a train and killed Saturday afternoon, according to the China Grove Police Department.

Wendy Paulette Ervin was hit near the end of Beaver Street. The Amtrak passenger train stopped nearby as the investigation went on. No other details were released.
